(Short Message Services) allows you to send and receive written
messages from your mobile phone to any Postpaid or Prepaid customers.
SMS means easier, faster and cheaper communication to all our
customers. Besides, there are times when you need to express your
feelings and writing becomes more important, SMS helps you in
these situations. In addition, SMS allows you to communicate with
mobile users in other countries around the world.
How to send and read an SMS message? Top
SMS
is already activated when you buy your SIM card; follow these
easy steps to send an SMS:
- Select
Messages from your mobile menu and choose write message or send
message option.
- Type
in your message using the keys on the handset and press send
- Enter
the mobile number of the person you want to send the message
to and press send again.
Your message will be sent immediately
and if the message is not being sent you will receive a message
saying Pending on your mobile phone. You can send a message of
up to 160 characters.
Before
you read your message, you will either hear an alert tone or an
envelope * will appear on your mobile screen. Then you can read
the message, the number, date and time the message was sent. Messages
can be stored on your mobile phone for unlimited time depending
on the configuration of your mobile. However, we advise that you
delete the read messages. A full inbox stops you from receiving
new messages
