How
does SabaFon International Roaming Service work?
SabaFon International Roaming Service
allows you to use your SabaFon mobile phone and number when you
travel abroad. By dialing your SabaFon mobile number, your friends,
family or business contacts will be get in touch irrespective
of where you are. The service will only work in countries with
which SabaFon has bilateral International Roaming agreement. The
list of countries is growing on a daily basis allowing you the
convenience of using your SabaFon mobile number
in a large number of countries worldwide.
How do I use SabaFon International Roaming Service?
The SabaFon International Roaming Service has been designed to ensure ease-of-use for all customers. Getting connected to a foreign network is as seamless as possible. Just follow these easy steps:

On arrival in a foreign country, switch on your mobile phone.
- You can register to the network into two ways, automatically or manually.
- To register Automatically, just switch on your mobile and the phone will choose one of the available networks in the visited network.
- To register manually, go to the network selection and choose the option manually, once the search has been completed; the phone will display all the available network operators you can select to make calls from your mobile.
You will now be able to make and receive calls on your mobile phone using your SabaFon mobile number.
How
do I connect to SabaFon International Roaming Service?
SabaFon International Roaming Service
is available with SabaFon Postpaid service only. The service can
be requested when buying SabaFon Postpaid connection. If you are
already a postpaid customer, simply contact our customer Care
Service by dialing 211 for more information from your SabaFon
mobile. SabaFon International Roaming Service is subject to a
credit approval and an additional refundable connection deposit.
How
do I make calls in a foreign country using SabaFon International
Roaming Service?
Calls can be made to any destination within
and outside the country in which you are Roaming by simply dialing
the relevant area code and number. If you need to make an international
call from the country you are visiting simply dial the following:
1. "+" (as replacement for the international access
code)
2. The international dialing code of the country you are dialing.
3. The relevant number of the person you are contacting.
While you are abroad, anyone in Yemen
will still be able to reach you by dialing your SabaFon mobile
phone number. If somebody within the country, in which you are
Roaming, needs to contact you they will have to dial your full
SabaFon number. Therefore, they have to include the international
access code "+" and the international dialing code for
Yemen (967) followed by your number. For example, +967 71 xxxxxx,
where 71 xxxxxx is your SabaFon mobile number.
How
will I be charged for calls while Roaming?
There are four charging scenarios:
a. SabaFon subscriber making a call
- To Yemen (Outgoing-International, see tariff)
- Within the visited network (Outgoing -Local, See Tariff)
- To a third Destination (Depends on the visited network tariff)
b. SabaFon subscriber receiving a call:
- From Yemen (Incoming, see tariff)
- From the visited network (Incoming, see tariff)
- From a third Destination (Depends on the visited network tariff)
c. SabaFon subscriber sending SMS (SMS-Out going, see tariff)
d. SabaFon receiving SMS (SMS-Incoming, see tariff)

What
can I do if I have a problem while I am Roaming?
You can contact SabaFon Customer Care by dialing
+967 71 111 211(international call rate is charged). Our dedicated
Customer Care team will be available 24 hours a day seven
days
a week (including public holidays) to ensure that any problem
or question that you might have is resolved as soon as possible
with the least amount of inconvenience to you.
What
if I want International Roaming for only a short period?
For the occasional traveler, SabaFon has as
International Roaming on demand feature. The service allows the
occasional traveler to have all the benefits of SabaFon International
Roaming Service for a period of 40 days. SabaFon Postpaid customers
can request the SabaFon International Roaming On Demand service
at any time. To activate the service, before traveling contact
our Customer Care Service by dialing 211 from your SabaFon mobile
or by dialing 71 111 211 from any other line. SabaFon International
Roaming on Demand service is subject to a connection fee. For
extension beyond 40 days, International Roaming On Demand service
fee must be paid.
