What should I do before sending request for SMS Roaming? --------------------top
You should cancel all CALL FORWARDINGs set on your number before sending SMS request or calling 211 otherwise we will not be able to process your request.

How can I activate SMS Roaming on my number?--------------------top
There are 3 ways through which you can activate SMS Roaming:
• You can send SMS with SRON command to number 333.
• You can call also 211 to request SMS Roaming.
• You can also log on to http://www.sabafon.com/IR/smsroaming.asp to subscribe.
Please note that with SMS Roaming service activated on your number, you will not be able to make any Voice, FAX or Data calls. Thus it is highly recommended that you request SMS Roaming service just before your departure from Yemen (out of SabaFon GSM coverage). Remember once out of SabaFon coverage (i.e. in any other country) you will not be able to send request for SMS Roaming activation.
To subscribe to SMS Roaming service from web site you will be required to enter your Father’s name, your National ID number, Date of birth and Customer number (8 digits) printed on top left corner of the monthly bill.

How much time does it take to activate SMS Roaming after sending the SMS request or calling 211?

Maximum one hour is taken for the activation of SMS roaming service depending upon receipt of your request.

How much is the service fee?

As soon as your SMS only Roaming is activated, on-demand service fee of YER 1500 will automatically be added to you bill.

What are the SMS charges while using SMS Roaming abroad?--------------------top
The SMS tariff charges will be applied according to roaming partners tariff plan. (You can get tariff info for each country and roaming partners by using the roaming tariff over SMS service or visit www.SabaFon.com.)

What is the validity of this service?

The service validity automatically expires after two weeks of the subscription unless or until you send another subscription request via SMS to 333 for reactivation of SMS Roaming subscription. YER 1,500 will again be levied for additional 2 weeks of SMS Roaming service. You will also get a SMS reminder from SabaFon on 15th day to reactivate SMS Roaming if desired.


When can I send another message to extend my SMS Roaming?

Make sure that you send reactivation request (i.e. SRON via SMS to number 333) for SMS Roaming only on the 15th day from the first day of subscription. Failing to do so you will lose remaining days left over from your first subscription validity period.

Can I exchange text based SMS only while roaming using SMS Roaming service?

SMS Roaming service allows you to use all SabaFon SMS based services like Info services (News, Logos, Picture SMS, Religious Info, Horoscope, SMS 2 Email etc) and MSN Mobile Services (MSN Messenger Chat and interaction with Hotmail over SMS). More over you can exchange SMS with over 600 mobile operators around the world.

Can I travel with my SMS only Roaming with outstanding bills?

Yes, you can travel with outstanding bills but it is highly recommended that all your outstanding bills are paid prior to you travel abroad. Paid bills will ensure that you avoid line suspension due to outstanding bills and enjoy the luxury of being in touch with your family, friends and co-workers.

How do I deactivate SMS Roaming on my Saba connection?

You just need to send deactivation SMS request (i.e. SROFF to 333). Remember to send this deactivation request just before departing from the roaming country. Following this recommendation you will be able to enjoy making all Voice, FAX and Data calls the moment you arrive in Yemen and turn your mobile on. In case you forget to send this deactivation SMS request before departing for Yemen, you can send the same request or call 211 on arrival in Yemen as per your convenience.

Do I need to call Customer Care Center?--------------------top
Yes, you can call Customer Care 211 anytime you for SMS Roaming activation or deactivation but only when you are in Yemen i.e. either before departing or soon after arrival in Yemen.
