SABANEWS uniquely awards its customers the advantage to get latest local and political Yemeni News as well as SABANEWS wide range of categories covering the latest international, business, sport and variety news and information on their GSM mobile handsets from the leading Yemeni news agency, to stay connected by viewing breaking news in real time, in Arabic and English
They can also be granted the ability to fully customise the news they want when it happens.

Categories
The full SABANEWS service is classified into five (5) categories:

In both languages, Arabic and English.  The categories have been comprehensively chosen, for subscriber to completely cover world news of the day and always stay connected to the time of event.

Subscription process
Every SabaFon customer (Post Paid or Pre Paid) is granted the possibility to subscribe easily to SABANEWS service. There are two short codes for the service.

For Information about SABANEWS service
9002 – By sending an empty SMS to 9002, you can get information on categories’ symbols and the price of each category (SMS sent to 9002 is free of charge).

For subscription
9003 – To subscribe in the desired category (ies) send the category (ies) symbol to 9003 (charged at the price of the category)

Note: if you send more than one time the category symbol to 9003, you will be automatically subscribed for the corresponding numbers of times sent.

Example
If you are a Post Paid customer, if you send 3 times “YN” to 9003, you will be automatically subscribed in the category Yemeni Politics a period of 3 months
If you are a Pre Paid customers sending 3 times “YN” to 9003, your credits will be deducted 3 times and your subscription in Yemeni Politics will be for a period 3 months.
 (Presently 350 YER per category. Subscription is valid for a period of 30 days)
Note. You can subscribe in several categories, only by sending the categories’ symbols desired once at a time, the following examples shows the process.

Example
If you want to subscribe in both Yemeni Politics and International Politics,

• First subscribe in Yemeni Politics by sending YN to 9003 (equivalent symbols in Arabic),
• Second, subscribe in International Politics by sending PN to 9003 (equivalent symbols in Arabic)

(In two consecutive SMSs)

To terminate the service and stop receiving messages
You can, at anytime send the word “OFF” followed by category symbol to 9002, you will be automatically off from the category, and will not receive news from the selected category.
To terminate the reception of all news from all categories, only send “OFF” to 9002, you will stop receiving news from all categories (if you are subscribed in more than one category).

To Re-Subscribe
Send the desired category symbol to 9003; you will be re-subscribed automatically for a period of one month (if you have previously cancelled your subscription.
